Chaos Awards: Vol 26

Greetings One and Everyone!

Welcome to the Wrestlemania week edition of the Chaos Awards! Wrestlemania 26 is now behind us and we look forward to another huge year of wrestling! Thank you for your continued support!

Let’s get started!

Best Match – Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels (Wrestlemania)
I am almost crying while typing this.
Shawn Michaels is the most talented person in the ring. From when he was 19 years old and starting out to now when he’s 44 and retiring… he’s had the same finisher and he’s been the best. I don’t care if you are a Cena fan or an Orton fan… Shawn Michaels was and will ALWAYS be the best.
I’m sad to see Shawn go, but I thoroughly enjoyed the send off that he did. I loved the fact that Triple H came out for just a moment so they can honestly have that DX embrace.
I am surprised that he didn’t mention Kevin Nash, but that is a bit of Monday Night War right there.
Shawn, you were the best in-ring worker of our generation. Your charisma and passion for the business is unparalleled. We will all miss you.
Thank you Shawn Michaels for 25 years of kicking people’s teeth down their throats.

Worst Match – The Repeat 10 Diva Tag Match (Raw)
Lets face it. It was a repeat match. 10 seconds of my life that I will never get back.
I now REFUSE to watch any divas match from now until Extreme Rules. This is one of the reasons why I watch TNA over WWE. The quality of the Women’s matches is much better. They have Women’s Tag Team Championships, which is what the WWE should have because they have had three times more diva tag team matches than they have diva singles matches this year.
I understand that people say “you have to change with the times”, but I’m not changing with the times if I have to look at 10 divas in the ring… 7 of whom are 99% plastic and can’t wrestle, 1 is the widow of a very good wrestler and the other two have SOME wrestling talent but are carrying injuries.
If you want to change with those times, that’s fine. Me? I’ll be using my fast forward button.

Best Performer – John Cena
Okay. I can’t help but shudder every time I see that botched move from Wrestlemania.
Batista was dead right when he said “Every time we step into the ring, bad things happen… to you!” Wow, he wasn’t wrong at Wrestlemania.
I wouldn’t be surprised now if Cena was carrying a serious injury. He got dropped on his head and then had grounded moves for the next few minutes to buy him some time so he could recover. But still, to come from that much of a scare and still put on a great match? That takes dedication in my book.

Worst Performer – The Entire TNA Creative Team

My god. TNA hasn’t just hit a new low, they have hit rock bottom… and I believe that they can go lower!
You have one of the best wrestling talents in the land and you give him the WORST gimmick, which still hasn’t worked in my opinion, and is ripping his career apart from the seams and you STILL DON’T CARE?!
Your previous rating should show you that you were trying to get fans away from the WWE. Stone Cold Steve Austin and HBK’s Retirement isn’t the best time to do it… NOW would’ve been the best time to do it. This Monday coming because Wrestlemania is over, the hype is dying down and there are new things happening in the WWE World and people might want to see something new. Wow, was that hard to think about? NO! So what is Vince Russo’s and TNA creative’s excuse?

Best Moment – Sexual Chocolate
Hot tub match… *groan*
Oh look, it is Mark Henry… AHHH!!! *hides* oh my god! Too much skin contained in one pair of speedos! AHH!! Why am I still looking?! *washes out eyes with Vanilla Coke* AHH!! IT BURNS!! *eyes clear up* AHH! SPEEDOS! The cycle is endless! HELP!
Okay, I kinda hope he goes back to his Sexual Chocolate gimmick… but NOT do anything with Mae Young. It would be hard to do with the PG rating, but I think it would be good because the “Strongest Man in the World” gimmick is far and away… gone, especially while he is a face.
I’m not sure if he is going to stick around much longer, he has been in the WWE for a while now and he would have to be considering retirement. If he does, I wouldn’t blame him. He’s really only had one “Championship” and that was the ECW title. I hope he gets another title before he leaves.

Worst Moment – Edge’s Spear to Jericho at Wrestlemania
If Edge really wanted to impress me at Wrestlemania… I wouldn’t have wanted to see a Spear through a barricade. I would’ve wanted to see an Edgecution through the announcers table.
But either way, he can’t really do that anymore, so I have to be content with the spear… spear… SPEAR!
Seriously, the crowd have been hating and booing the spear for 5 years now, BUT now that Edge is a face… Spear! Spear! Spear!
Get knotted. The next person who starts a spear chant I will stab them with a washing machine.
I like the spear as much as the next person… if it’s performed by Goldberg or Rhyno.

Question: What are your thoughts about Swagger becoming World Champion? I don’t like it one bit!

I’ll admit again, I’m not the biggest Swagger fan, but I LOVE IT that he is World Champion.
Okay, I don’t “LOVE” love it… but I love the change! It’s a NEW Champion! Swagger does have talent and he has improved in the last few months.
But the main question is: Did he deserve it?
My answer: Yes.
He has been with the company and had a long reign as ECW Champion. He has the talent there and this may just be the break that he needs to prove to the world that he can indeed be a major contender in the WWE. If his talent is as big as his front teeth… he’ll be a great champion.

The Bottle Won't Open Rant.
Thank you WWE for proving that Money in the Bank at Wrestlemania was a complete waste of time.
Don’t worry, I’m not ranting on Jack Swagger. I’m glad that there is a new World Champion. BUT normally with Money in the Bank, you wait and wait and wait until the conditions are perfect for you to win a World Title.
Edge (2005) – After the Elimination Chamber
RVD – One Night Stand 2006
Edge (2007) – After Undertaker’s Steel Cage match, THEN getting assaulted by Mark Henry
Punk (2008) – After Edge got a beat down from an enraged Batista
Punk (2009) – After Jeff’s Ladder match
How did Swagger win just 5 days after winning the briefcase? From Jericho taking an Edgecution and Spear… then laying in the ring for HOURS while a referee comes out… one Gutwrench. Done.
I’m not saying that it was bad… I’m saying he should’ve cashed it in later.
Wait…How about this instead?
Jericho comes out at the start of Smackdown and says that he is STILL the star of the show and stole the spotlight at Wrestemania. Edge comes out and says that he deserves his rematch and he wants it now! Vickie comes out and tells Edge that he will face Morrison for the #1 contendership later that night but Edge has to let the Champion have his time to speak.
Edge stares down Jericho before leaving.
Jericho goes to talk but is interrupted by Taker, who comes out and says “You didn’t steal the show at Wrestlemania, Shawn Michaels did.” Jericho says, “Fine. You are just like these hypocrites. Underestimating the World Champion. I’ll take you anyday of the week Undertaker.”
Main Event is booked. Taker vs. Jericho.
Edge beats Morrison.
Taker wins after a good match via tombstone.
Taker is walking back up the ramp and notices Jericho moving in the ring.
Taker turns, walks back to the ring. Chokeslam.
Taker walks back up the ramp and notices Jericho still moving.
Taker turns to walk to the ring. Edge’s music hits.
Edge runs to the ring. HUGE Spear.
Edge walks back up the ramp and meets Taker in the middle and they stare down before they both notice that Jericho is STILL moving.
Undertaker and Edge turn back again and they start walking to the ring. Swagger’s music hits. Edge and Taker stop and slowly turn with a “what the hell is going on?” face
Swagger SPRINTS to the ring, straight past Taker and Edge, with a referee. Cashes in. Gutwrench. Pin. New World Champion. Swagger is happy as a kid on his birthday and celebrates in the ring with Edge and Taker staring at Swagger from the ramp. We go off the air.
Better or not better?

Once again, Shawn Michaels. You will be missed.
I look forward to Wrestlemania 27!
